nano4U completes the Eurostars project PROFILES
The project, working with project partners in Switzerland, Austria and Latvia, has successfully developed an automated demonstrator. The system automatically scans a range of consumer products and calculates a digital fingerprint from microscopic differences calculated from a combination of regions of interest on each item. The process steps and results are logged online onto a blockchain for immutable records and traceability. Differences between individual items within a product are distinguishable. The system is being evaluated for potential in authentication and quality control.
